In the Valley of the Gods
Just north of Monument Valley, in Southern Utah, lies the Valley of the Gods. Near the goosenecks of the San Juan River, it is the less visited sister site to the more famous valley in the Navajo Nation. Previously managed by the BLM and now a part of the Bears Ears National Monument, it is possible to be the only person in this vast and beautiful semi-wilderness. This status may change, given our current political climate and the decision to reduce the size of the monument to allow for oil and gas exploration.
